01Products

02Approach

Small on purpose.

How we decide what to build, and how we look after it.

  1. 01

    One job per product

Each product has one clear purpose. We would rather do one thing very well than many things adequately.

  2. 02

    Plain by default

Plain language, sensible defaults, and screens that get out of the way once you know what you need.

  3. 03

    Looked after

Launch is the start. We keep each product fixed, updated, and running long after it ships.

03About

A lean, independent studio from Malaysia, built to grow, one focused product at a time.

Excee is an early-stage software company with a growing set of micro-SaaS products. Each one solves a specific everyday problem, and keeps solving it.

We add a product only when we can do its job well, and keep the studio small enough to look after every one. Everything is built in Malaysia, for people anywhere.

04The name

Where exceed meets dev.

Excee is exceed and dev sharing one letter. The d that ends exceed is the d that starts dev: going beyond what is expected, through the work of building software.

The name in four steps: exceed, to go beyond what is expected; dev, for developer and development, which starts on the same d that ends exceed; the two joined with a dot, which travels out from the centre of the x, as excee.dev; and Excee, the studio named for both, where the terracotta of the shared d passes into the x.

exceedTo go beyond what is expected.
